Mastermind

Mastermind is a classic code-breaking board game that challenges players to crack a hidden code within a limited number of attempts. In this two-player game, one player acts as the "codemaker," creating a secret code, while the other player acts as the "codebreaker," attempting to guess the code.

The codemaker selects a sequence of colored pegs from a predefined set and arranges them in a specific order behind a shield, concealing the code from the codebreaker. The codebreaker then makes a series of guesses, placing pegs on the board to replicate the code created by the codemaker.

After each guess, the codemaker provides feedback by placing a series of smaller pegs next to the guess. These pegs indicate how many pegs in the guess are the correct color and in the correct position (black pegs) and how many are the correct color but in the wrong position (white pegs).

Using deductive reasoning and strategic thinking, the codebreaker continues to refine their guesses based on the feedback provided by the codemaker, aiming to decipher the secret code within the allotted number of attempts.

Mastermind is a game of logic, deduction, and anticipation, offering a satisfying challenge for players of all ages. With its simple rules and endless possibilities, Mastermind remains a timeless favorite among puzzle enthusiasts and strategy gamers alike.
